Butlers Hill Livery Yard, based between Cheltenham and Cirencester, offers bespoke services and unrivalled facilities, ensuring your horse is kept comfortable, safe, and most importantly, happy.
Our boutique livery service is limited to 11 full livery horses, meaning that the yard is never noisy or busy - there is enough time for staff to give a truly dedicated service to both horse and owner.
Since 2018, Butlers Hill Livery has seen a huge amount of development to create the perfect environment for your horse.
The main yard block currently houses 11 loose boxes and feed stores, whilst another building has been recently converted into an indoor arena. In addition, there is an all-weather arena which enjoys superb views down the valley.
All of this is housed within over 100 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside, providing grazing pastures and some excellent hacking routes.
We have paddocks of quality grazing with suitable companions or smaller paddocks available with company for restricted grazing, according to requirements.
We also have laminitic sand paddocks for zero grazing. All paddocks are regularly maintained, ensuring the highest quality grazing.
Safety is of great importance to us, and all fields are maintained to a high level, with all paddocks fenced with stock fence and/or high quality electric wire.
Meet the Team
Living on-site are Butlers Hill Livery's owners, Joe Chapman and her partner Bryan.
Joe has been involved with horses all her life; familiar with the guilt of balancing a career and horses, she has personal experience of DIY and full livery.
In 2018, Joe was lucky enough to be able to retire early, and so began Butlers Hill Livery.
You can often find Joe out on the tractor, with her herd of horses (Ralph, Jock, Percy and Baby Waffle), or stocking up the yard biscuit tin.
Bryan is more likely to be found working in the fields or watching rugby!
Butlers Hill benefits from a dedicated team staff, including veterinary physiotherapist Gayle Wiggall, who also lives on-site.
Gayle is a fully qualified Masters level Veterinary Physiotherapist (MvetPhys) and RAMP accredited practitioner, providing maintenance and rehabilitation treatments for equine patients.
Butlers Hill Livery has a book of equine specialist contacts, so whether you're looking for a dentist, chiropractor, farrier or instructor, we can help you arrange appointments - though you're welcome to bring along your trusted specialists too, where they'll be greeted with a tea and a warm welcome.
In addition to our fantastic facilities, we also offer various clinics and events, as well as indoor school and arena hire.
